Last Day of Summer Break

Today is my last day of summer break. Feels funny to say it. No, I am not going back to school, but my daughter in-law the teacher is. I will be spending the day with my 3 year old grandson three days a week starting tomorrow. Well sort of. Their is a scattered start to "Yada's Preschool" and my regular schedule begins in September. We had a birthday trip to Michigan scheduled for the end of August and already made arrangements with my grandson's daycare to have space for him during that trip. Well that trip has been postponed and the week has been rerouted to Nebraska via Disney Magic. Hard to believe our impromptu trip to Disney World was over a month ago and I have still yet to record about our trip. I started to, but then decided it was too much for one blog and it has been in a holding pattern since. It is a fairly important part of the story of our upcoming trip to Nebraska. So stay tuned. I will be posting slightly out of order for July and August.
What am I going to do on my last day of summer break? Probably blog a bit, work on a time sensitive project and stay far from the heat and humidity. This summer has been a rough one in regards to weather. I have only taken my bike out a couple times and the same for kayaking. Even my kayaking trips have only been while we have been camping. There are 3 types of weather this summer - hot and humid, rainy or the occasional mid 70s to mid 80 with a slight breeze. The later is my best summer weather. It has not been great weather for my MS zapping my energy and increasing the electrical shocks in my legs. And so it goes. It could be much worse.
From July 24th to present day, my life has been a roller coaster of activity and emotions. Ups and downs, twists and turns. I couldn't relax and take a full deep breathe if I tried, let alone find the time to do something fun like bike riding or kayaking. Family health issues affecting my sister and my mom and big moves have been front and center for the past 3 weeks and will continue into the foreseeable future. So I decided to take this moment, this morning on my last day of summer break to reflect and breathe as deep as I can, then set my eyes ahead to the next thing taking it one day at a time.
